FORM GENERATION FROM CLASSICAL ARCHITECTURE

CLASSICAL ARCHITECTUREI generated the drawing above from the drawing below. With a 0.5 mm felt tip, I did a volumetric projection of the flying buttress image. I ended up taking liberties with the geometry. Yet there is a similarity;  you get the sense of how I made my volumes with the felt tip.  I then filled in the sides of the volumes with a light watercolor wash.

And then I had this idea of threading thru the voids of the volumes a sort of curvelinear tubular form.  This is what we call in these pages Form Combine.  For this I used a water soluble pencil and then acrylic ink.
