WET PROOFS

WET PROOFS DEMONSTRATE PRINTING ACCURACY.
Transparent Drawing – Wet Proofs

BOOK LAUNCH UPDATE. Rachel at Black Dog Press just sent this photo of the wet proofs of the book. After a bit of research, I learned that wet proofs are done by the printer to demonstrate exactly how the combination of images, text, inks, paper, etc. will look. While there are different types of pre print proofs, only these are done on the actual paper so as to accurately demonstrate color accuracy, clarity, etc. Rachel, who is the book’s graphic designer, tells me that the entire Black Dog team is excited by the results.

And I am too. I just thought that the way the drawings are combined via scale, rotation, adjacency in the image above is amazing. It is fun to see the collage effect of the features of Transparent Drawing such as Automatic Form, House Dress, Choisey One Point, etc. It looks like some sort of crazy person did all of those drawings.

Transparent Drawing is now listed on Amazon, which is also very fun.

All Transparent Drawing “is” is you, a pencil and a piece of paper. I humbly hope that the book will impart a new mindset to readers, which they will use to explore, create and analyze form. I truly hope that they will embark upon a knowledge pathway which fosters holistic understanding.
